My name is
Aziz Atik. I got my baccalaureate from Fath School, Khemisset, in 2001. Then I moved to Ibn Tofail University
in Kenitra, Morocco, where I got my B.A (Bachelor
of Art) degree in 2006 and then my M.A (Master of
Art) degree in 2008. Being inspired and induced by what I had achieved, I
decided to carry on with my PHD research in 2011 with a very inspiring topic (How
Hollywood Demonizes Muslims). I have also
conducted several researches in different arenas: media, literature, theatre,
and film studies which served as a platform for my PHD proposal. I also went
through a teaching experience which lasted for more than 6 years before being
appointed as a high school teacher in Hassan Bne Tabet School in Zaio, Morocco.
Yet it would be invidious or ungrateful of me to ascribe these accomplishments
for which I craved for years and years only to personal hard work and
perseverance. Of course this played a major part, but I am not a self-made man.
I really cannot turn a blind eye to the people who showed me the way, people
who unremittingly provided help, endorsement, and encouragement, be they my teachers, my
family, or friends. I am so indebted to my first year high school teacher, Nourdinne Boutahr, who
once instilled in me unwavering love for English language, without whom my life
could have been so difficult.I spend my spare time either watching football matches or surfing the net. I also like to travel to visit new places and to meet new people.
